John King creates large, tower mounted, wind powered kinetic artworks as public entertainment for Parks and Commercial areas. His sculptures are on permanent display in the Cities of Aurora, Boulder, Grand Junction, and Littleton, Colorado. His work is currently in outdoor art shows in Grand Junction, Northglenn, Colorado Springs, and Lyons, Colorado.

Sangre de Cristo Commission
The Arising Dancer sculpture has been selected by the Sangre de Cristo Arts and Conference Center for its entry circle sculpture commission. The final piece will be 30' tall and will be installed in Spring on 2012. The video and pictures are of the large scale "2/3" model that was created to develop and test the larger piece.

"Cornerstone Park Snap Dragon"
A permanent sculpture welcomes the visitor to Cornerstone Park in Littleton, CO. part of the South Suburban Parks and Recreation Dept. Installed in September 2010 it flies in a traffic circle at the entrance to a soccer park.
"Silver Glider"
This 20' tall by 26' wide piece is displayed in the middle of Pikes Peak Ave. in downtown Colorado Springs as part of the year long "Art on the Streets" show. It received a third place award in what has become a national outdoor sculpture show.
"Soaring Bird 2"
The "Soaring Bird 2" sits in a city park in Northglenn, CO. It dances with passersby next to the lake. 2010-11

Boulder Park "Green Snap Dragon 1"
A giant plant creature entertains in Central Park, Boulder. 2009. Set in the grassy picnic spot, across from the Dushanbe Tea House and BMOCA, this piece is a kid magnet. Hundreds of picnicers sit on the grass around the suclpture on summer evenings when the Farmers Market is open.
